It has been quite a while since I originally came to Brinkworth and first met Colin Swatton. I wanted to foolishly relive my youth and find another 1967 Sprite - but this time around, have one that was in one piece, worked properly and was as authentic in specification as possible. On that first visit he gave me a good hour of his time and a guided tour of his workshop and work in progress as well as his cars for sale and went through every conceivable aspect in the most open and honest manner. This left me with the clear impression here was a man who you could trust implicitly and rely on doing an absolutely first class job most thoroughly and conscientiously at a competitive price.
He had a car that fitted, except that it was then in a terrible state and required a comprehensive rebuild. The outcome is a marvellous car that looks fantastic inside and out and runs and handles better than the one I originally had over 30 years ago - and reminds me how much more interesting it is than many modern cars. Don't expect a quick job but do expect workmanship and transparency of purpose of the highest order, plus a valued working relationship. I cannot recommend him too highly.

would like to thank all the team at Swattons Sports Cars for doing an excellent
job restoring an MGB GT for me in the Spring of 2007.
The
car was first registered in 1967 and was in quite poor state when I first viewed
it, but since the restoration I have had many good comments and praise for the
work done by Swattons. I am now enjoying driving it and going to some shows.

this is to let you know that I am very happy with the car that I got from you.
If anybody was to want an MG, I would tell them to come and see you. The MG I
had from you drives like a dream. When the car is due for service, MOT etc, I
will bring it over to you to do, as I don’t want anybody else doing it.
Every time when I take my MG out of my garage some people always kept saying to me "look how beautiful MGB GT that you got" it make make me feel so proud!!! It makes me so realise how best job that you had been done for my MGB GT. I wish I never bought a MG Midget at the first place!

classic car a Triumph Stag from Colin and if anyone is looking to purchase a
classic I would highly recommend visiting his establishment. A very honest and
understanding person who will spend hours going over the cars making sure that
you feel at ease and that you feel happy with the car. There are not many

Just a short email to say "thank you very much" for the time you took to discuss the purchase of my MGB. From the inspection you did with me of the vehicle, the extra work you subsequently did to the steering lock the day before collection through to the explanation of the hood, switches etc - much much better than trying to read the owners book! I will certainly contact you again when it is time for servicing the vehicle.
